I have a passion for making music and I'm still working on upping my skills. I like to play drums, guitar, bass, tabla, djembe a little keyboard and sing. I also love to produce tracks for myself and others. I am currently putting a musical project together incorporating many different styles. Here are some of the recordings I've done in the past...
Songs by Kris
The Woods Were Beautiful
I made this as the soundtrack to a friend's short film
Heavy Heart
One of the songs from my current project (2015))
30 Second Film Competition Soundtrack
This is a song I recorded for a friend of mine who entered a 30 second film competition and needed an original song for the soundtrack. (The video is linked on my videos page.) I had only a few days to do it and this is what I came up with. It's me playing drums, bass, guitar and bongos.
Mei Mei Sa Sa by Kris Ariel
This is an original song I made that features me on the guitar, a recording my Grandfather made for his mother in the 40's and some frogs in a rice paddy that I recorded.
From Here To There by Kris Ariel
I made this song around 2008, an experiment in poppy pop electronica. I am singing all the parts and played the tablas in the breakdown. Made the original music track too.
Here Comes Your Man
This is a cover of the Pixies song 'Here comes your man' I made years ago in my bedroom just for fun. All parts played by Kris.
Bizarre Love Triangle
A cover of the New Order song 'Bizarre Love Triangle' I made years ago in my bedroom just for fun. All parts played by Kris
Upwind Jumpoff
I produced this hip-hop track for my friends Mike Wind and Jumpfish back in 2006, a bit rough around the edges but a fun track nonetheless.
